Monster Strawberries
- Prep Time: 6 minutes
- Makes: 6 strawberries
Ingredients
- 1 package PME Cake Sweet Street Pretty Eyes Sprinkles
- 5 oz Ghirardelli white chocolate wafers
- 6 drops purple gel food coloring
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil
- 1 package of strawberries
Instructions
1- Place the white chocolate wafers into a bowl and microwave on defrost for 2 minutes.
2- Stir, then continue microwaving in 1-minute intervals on defrost, stirring between each, until fully melted.
3- Add in the purple gel and coconut oil, then stir until smooth and fully colored.
4- Dip each strawberry into the melted coating, letting excess chocolate drip off before placing onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
5- While still wet, press one candy eye into each strawberry.
6- Let the coating harden, then gently remove from the parchment paper and store in the fridge until ready to serve.
Pro Tips for Perfect Monster Strawberries
- Make sure your strawberries are fully dry before dipping or the chocolate won’t stick
- Gel food coloring gives the richest colors—avoid liquid food dye
- Work quickly once dipped—those candy eyes won’t stick once the coating sets
- These are best served within 24 hours but can last up to 2 days chilled
These Halloween fruit ideas are ideal when you need something fun but not overly sugary. They’re fast, festive, and a total hit with kids and adults alike.
