This spooky little Bat Caprese Crostini makes the perfect Halloween party appetizer when you want something that’s festive and a little fancy.

With fresh mozzarella cut into tiny bat shapes, these crostini are equal parts eerie and elegant—making them great for fall dinner parties, classroom snacks, or Halloween wine nights with friends.

If you’re looking for a savory Halloween bite that’s quick, cute, and totally Instagram-worthy, this one’s a winner.

Makes: 6

Prep Time: 10 Minutes

Ingredients

  • 6 slices fresh sliced mozzarella

  • 6 slices baguette crostini bread

  • 6 basil leaves

  • 1 roma tomato, sliced thin

  • 1 teaspoon balsamic glaze

Instructions

Slice your baguette into six small crostini pieces and lay them flat. Place one basil leaf on top of each bread slice.

Add a thin slice of roma tomato over the basil.

Use a small bat-shaped cookie cutter to cut the mozzarella into spooky shapes, then place one bat on top of each crostini.

Dip a lollipop stick into your balsamic glaze and gently dot on two tiny “eyes” to finish the bat face.

Serve these immediately for best results—no one can resist a Halloween snack this charming.

These are super kid-friendly but fancy enough for grown-up parties too, especially when paired with a fall cocktail or spooky mocktail.

Enjoy!
