Pro Tips for Success:

  • Pick the right apples. Fuji, Honeycrisp, or Gala apples hold their shape best when baked.

  • Keep slices even. Use a mandoline slicer to get thin, uniform apple slices that roll easily.

  • Soften apples first. Microwave apple slices with a splash of water for 30 seconds so they bend without breaking.

  • Add flavor twists. Try a sprinkle of nutmeg, pumpkin spice, or even a drizzle of caramel before rolling.

  • Try sugar alternatives. Use coconut sugar, monk fruit, or brown sugar for different flavors or dietary needs.

  • Prevent sticking. Line your muffin pan with parchment or silicone liners for easy release.

  • Add a finishing touch. Drizzle with icing or brush with warm apricot jam for a glossy, bakery-style look.
